Soy Salmon

Serves 2
INGREDIENTS
2 pieces of salmon, approximately 6 to 7oz each (yes, this is a large portion of salmon)
1/2 cup soy sauce (use low sodium if desired)
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground ginger
4 tbsp maple syrup
DIRECTIONS
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients: soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, and maple syrup.
2. Place the salmon pieces into a ziploc bag and pour in the marinade. Marinate for at least 30 minutes and up to 4 hours.
Note: I have marinated this overnight before but it can get kind of salty. If you're in a pinch though and cannot take it out by 4 hours, not the end of the world!
3. Take the salmon pieces out of the bag and place onto a lined baking (letting any excess marinade drip off).
4. Bake at 400F for approximately 13 minutes or until salmon is cooked through.
